School of groupies
The sad reality is that for a lot of the intellectually disabled, those who appear intellectual but are seemingly lazy, and the intentional shit disturbers, perception is reality. They don’t need inconvenient facts; the fear of losing their place in the group’s ego and hierarchy messes them up every time. Without each other to reinforce their delusions, they recognize their chances of survival are dim and slim, yet they double down.
The Illusion of Success: A School of Fish Metaphor
In today’s discourse, it often seems that groups lacking factual grounding create an illusion of success through sheer numbers, much like schooling fish. While these small fry may appear formidable as they swim together, their strength lies not in knowledge but in the collective reinforcement of unfounded beliefs. This is supported by an oligarchical echo chamber, the current crop of GOP, and an overt rising tide of fascism disguised as ‘safety for you, but not for thee.
Key Points:
Perception vs. Reality: Just as small fry swimming in a school can confuse predators, uneducated groups can overwhelm discussions. Their numerical advantage may symbolize strength, but without meaningful substance, their arguments lack validity.
Confirmation Bias: In the same way that fish rely on the movement of their school for safety, individuals often turn to their group for validation, reinforcing misconceptions instead of seeking the truth and individually formulating an original thought
Group-think Dynamics: Much like a flock of fish that chooses to swim in unison for protection, people may prioritize belonging over factual accuracy, stifling the benefit of critical thought and promoting the delusions that are fed to them. Think Q
Efficiency Over Substance: While small fry gain efficiency swimming together by reducing drag and creating individual camouflage, tiny Groupers that rely solely on their group numbers often sacrifice depth and integrity in discussions for the sake of hollow mocking camaraderie and bias validation.
Echo Chambers: Just as fish in a school may move together without questioning their direction, groups can become echo chambers where only supportive ideas circulate, hindering any semblance of learning and genuine understanding.
Conclusion:
“So, while these little fish schooling might look impressive, they’re really just swimming in circles—puffing up group-think while grouping to get a clue. It’s all well and good to gather in numbers, but without any real substance, they’re just a noisy flashy school. And let’s be honest: when that large predator called Truth comes lurking, it won’t hesitate to take out the entire school. After all, sometimes a loud crowd is just there to drown out the facts, but ultimately, denial won’t save the School of groupies from Ms. Karma eating em alive.
